Description

Light: Thrives in full sun to partial shade. At least 5 hours of direct sun daily is ideal for healthy growth and blooming.

Watering: Extremely drought-tolerant but prone to rot if overwatered. Use the “soak and dry” method, thoroughly saturate the soil, then let it dry out completely before watering again.
Winter Rest: Requires a strictly dry, cool period (around 0–10°C) during winter to trigger flowering in the spring.

Soil: Needs a very permeable, coarse mineral-based cactus mix with excellent drainage. Surrounding the base of the plant (the “root neck”) with grit or sand can help prevent rot.
