Requires full sun, at least 6–8 hours daily for healthy growth and fruiting.
Thrives in Malta’s bright, coastal conditions.

Evergreen tree with silvery-green leaves and gnarled bark.
Small white flowers in spring, followed by green fruits ripening to black in autumn–winter.
This tree is used more as an ornamental rather than for productive use.

🪴 Potting Mix

Well-draining, sandy or loamy soil.
For pots: use a Mediterranean mix (soil, sand, and perlite).
Avoid compact, water-retentive soil.

🌿 Fertilizer

Feed in early spring and midsummer with a balanced or olive-specific fertilizer.
Avoid over-fertilizing; excessive nitrogen reduces fruiting.
