💧 Watering

Water every 5–7 days in summer, keeping the soil lightly moist but not soggy.
Reduce watering in winter. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Use filtered or rainwater; sensitive to Malta’s hard tap water.

☀️ Sunlight

Prefers bright, indirect light or partial shade.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade leaf patterns and scorch the foliage.
Perfect for indoor spots with filtered light.

🍃 Foliage / 🌸 Flowering

Evergreen perennial with oval leaves featuring bold green, red, and cream patterns.
Foliage folds upward at night (“prayer” motion).
Occasionally produces small white or purple flowers indoors.

🪴 Potting Mix

Loose, well-draining mix with peat, coco coir, and perlite.
Keep humidity high. You can do this by grouping with other plants or use a pebble tray.

🌿 Fertilizer

Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring–summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
Avoid overfeeding; sensitive roots.
