💧 Watering
Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and requires very little intervention. In pots, water only when the soil has dried out significantly, as it prefers “dry feet” to prevent root rot during humid Maltese nights.

☀️ Light
It demands full sun to stay compact and flower profusely. While it can survive in partial shade, the growth will become leggy and the vibrant floral display will be much sparser.

🍃 Foliage / Growth
This is a fast-growing, trailing evergreen with small, dark green leaves that have a slightly rough texture. It is a fantastic choice for hanging baskets or for “greening up” rocky embankments where other plants might struggle.

🪴 Potting Mix
It isn’t picky about soil but requires excellent drainage above all else. A standard potting mix amended with local grit or perlite is ideal for container-grown specimens.

🌿 Fertilizer
Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to kickstart the growing season. Avoid over-feeding, as too much fertilizer can actually reduce the number of flowers in favor of excess foliage.

❌🐕🐈 Pet Safety
Lantana is toxic to dogs and cats if ingested, particularly the unripened berries. The leaves can also cause skin irritation in some animals, so it is best kept in areas where pets won’t frequently brush against it.

🌬️ Air Purifying
While not a traditional indoor purifier, its dense mat of foliage is excellent at suppressing weeds and capturing dust in outdoor areas. It is also a magnet for local pollinators, boosting the biodiversity of your garden or terrace.
