💧 Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged, as this plant is sensitive to both drying out completely and sitting in water. In the height of the Maltese summer, check the soil daily, as the heat can dry out small pots very quickly.

☀️ Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light or soft morning sun, which is essential for prolific flowering. Avoid the scorching midday sun in Malta, which can be too intense for its delicate foliage and may cause the plant to crisp.

🍃 Foliage / Growth
Features tiny, oval leaves that release a pleasant aniseed fragrance when brushed or bruised. It has a compact, rounded growth habit and produces a flush of pink flowers primarily in winter and spring.

🪴 Potting Mix
Requires a well-draining, slightly acidic potting mix, ideally one designed for “acid-loving” plants or mixed with plenty of perlite. Since Maltese tap water is alkaline, using a mix with some peat or specialized substrate helps keep the plant healthy.
