Description
Yucca Ramificata is a striking, architectural plant with sturdy branching stems topped by rosettes of long, pointed green leaves. It is hardy, drought-tolerant, and well suited to bright indoor spaces.
💧 Watering
Allow the soil to dry well between waterings. Yucca tolerates drought much better than overwatering, especially during winter.
☀️ Light
Prefers very bright light and can tolerate direct sun. Indoors, place close to a bright window for strong, healthy growth.
🍃 Foliage / Growth
Develops woody branching trunks with clusters of sword-shaped leaves. Growth is relatively slow indoors, but plants can eventually become large specimens.
🪴 Potting Mix
Use a well-draining potting mix with added perlite, pumice, or coarse material. Good drainage is essential.
🌿 Fertilizer
Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Little to no fertilizer is needed during winter.
🐕🐈 Pet Safety
Toxic to cats and dogs. Yucca contains saponins that may cause vomiting, drooling, weakness, and digestive upset if eaten.
🌬️ Air Purifying
Yucca is sometimes promoted for air purification, but its effect in normal indoor conditions is limited. It is best valued for its bold foliage and easy-care nature.
