Spicy pepper plant with erect and tall bearing, with short internodes. The chillies produced are 14-16 cm long with smooth flesh, bright red color and very spicy when fully ripe. It maintains a high spiciness even in winter and green fruit. The cayenne pepper is great to be dried in the sun, for the preparation of hot paprika, hot oil or even be ground to the powder storage.

Cultivation: We recommend transplanting in the open field from March to July and in the greenhouse from September to February. The peppers, even if they are erect-bushy, need a small brace to reinforce the main stem. No interventions such as topping or other green pruning are necessary. To have more vigorous and productive plants, Cayenne pepper can be transplanted in the hottest periods and in sunny positions . The optimal soil must be permeable, deep and fertile (rich in organic matter already decomposed). Irrigation can be carried out successfully by means of a drip system or in any case with irrigation methods that do not wet the leaves to avoid the proliferation of fungal diseases.

Transplant distances: between rows 80-100 cm and on the row 40-50 cm.
