Water once a week during establishment.
Once established, water sparingly, drought tolerant and well suited to Malta.
In pots, allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Prefers full sun to light partial shade.
Flowers best in full sun.
Ideal for gardens, borders, and sunny terraces.

🍃 Foliage / 🌸 Flowering
Narrow, grass-like leaves with a mild garlic scent when crushed.
Produces pink to lilac star-shaped flowers from spring through autumn.
Evergreen in Malta’s mild climate.

🪴 Potting Mix / Soil
Prefers well-draining soil; tolerates poor or sandy soils.
In pots, use a general outdoor potting mix with added sand.

🌿 Fertilizer
Feed once in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer.
In pots, light feeding every 6–8 weeks during flowering season.

❌🐕🐈 Pet Safety
⚠️ Mildly toxic to cats and dogs if ingested (can cause stomach upset).
Best kept out of reach of pets.

Very well adapted to Malta’s dry summers and coastal conditions.
Extremely low maintenance and pest resistant.
Can be divided easily to propagate.
