Appearance: Small, tapered pods, typically about 2 inches long. They ripen from green to a rich, dark brown color.
Flavor: Sweet, fruity, with earthy and smoky undertones.
Uses: Ideal for hot sauces, salsas, and marinades. Adds a unique depth of flavor to dishes like Mexican mole sauce. Pairs well with earthy fruits like apricots and raisins in salsas.
