Description
Light: Thrives in full sun to partial shade. While it can tolerate some shade, its best silver coloration is achieved in brighter light.
Water: Highly drought-tolerant. Use the “soak and dry” method, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. It requires minimal water once established, though young plants benefit from more regular moisture.
Soil: Must have well-draining soil, such as a sandy or gritty cactus/succulent mix. It thrives in poor, rocky soils where other plants might struggle.
Hardiness: Generally hardy in USDA Zones 5–9. It can survive cold winters but should be protected from excessive winter wetness, which can cause the plant to rot.
