Description

Light: Requires bright light. A south-east facing windowsill is ideal for morning sun. While it loves sun, protect it from the harshest afternoon rays to prevent sunburn.

Watering: Follow a “soak and dry” method. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, then wait until it dries out again. Stop watering almost entirely in winter to allow for a necessary dormancy period.

Soil: Use a well-draining cactus mix, ideally with extra grit (pumice or perlite) to prevent root rot.
