The San Marzano plant is vigorous and undetermined. The tomato has an elongated pointed shape, 10-12 cm long and diam. 5.8 cm approximately, full and heavy (150-160 gr), which change from dark green to red. The bunch is made up of 7-8 fruits with an average weight of 942 gr. The brix degree reaches a value of 5 (right compromise between sweetness and acidity) excellent for being a tomato of the San Marzano type. The main use of San Marzano gigante is for fresh consumption, but it is also suitable for the preparation of sauces and preserves.
