Fuoco Nero Pepper
Origin: Native to Italy.
Heat Level (SHU): Ranges from 50,000 to 100,000 SHU.
Comparison: It can be up to 40 times hotter than a jalapeño.
Appearance: Small, elongated peppers with a dark, almost black color when mature1. The skin is smooth and glossy.
Flavor: Spicy with a slightly fruity taste.
Uses: Commonly used in salsas, sauces, and as a garnish. Adds vibrant color and heat to various dishes. Often dried and ground into powder for seasoning.
Interesting Fact: Rich in vitamins A and C, antioxidants, and capsaicin. The Fuoco Nero pepper is also known for its ornamental value due to its striking dark color.
