Origin: Named after the Cayambe region in Ecuador.

Comparison: It can be up to 20 times hotter than a jalapeño.
Appearance: Medium-sized, elongated pods, usually red when mature.
Flavor: Mildly sweet with a sharp, spicy kick.
Uses: Commonly used in salsas, sauces, and marinades. Adds a vibrant color and heat to dishes like stir-fries and stews.
