Flowering : between late June and August; violet or white flowers.

Part used : leaves.

Aroma : intense and pleasant menthol.

Use : to give cocktails and other fresh drinks the typical mint aroma.

Properties : spasmolytic, choleretic, carminative.

Harvest : before flowering the tops and leaves for fresh consumption; in full bloom for the extraction of essential oils.
