Description

Light: Requires bright, filtered sunlight to maintain its compact, flat shape. In extremely hot climates, provide some shade during peak afternoon hours to prevent scorching.

Watering: Use the “soak and dry” method—water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry. Suspend watering entirely during the winter dormancy period.

Substrate: It thrives in a well-draining mineral-based mix. Avoid standard garden soil or mixes high in peat, which retain too much moisture and cause rot.

Repotting: Frequent repotting of young plants (every 2-3 years) can help prevent the base of the stem from becoming woody or “lignified”.
