Description

Light: Requires bright, direct sunlight. Outdoors, it thrives in full sun but appreciates some afternoon shade in extreme heat. Indoors, place it on a south-facing windowsill.

Watering: Use the “soak and dry” method. Water deeply only when the soil is completely dry to the touch. During winter dormancy, reduce watering significantly or stop entirely if kept in a cool area.

Soil: Must have excellent drainage to prevent root rot. A mix of 70-80% mineral grit (like pumice or perlite) with 20-30% cactus soil is ideal.

Temperature: Not frost-hardy; it should be kept above 5°C (41°F). If temperatures drop near freezing, bring the plant indoors.
