Description

The Greek ball basil sometimes called compact Nano Basil has an intense, delicate and strongly aromatic smell. The plant forms a perfect sphere made up of very small, very fragrant green leaves.

It is collected and consumed fresh in order to maintain its smell and aroma. The basil is harvested by severing or delicately cutting the upper part of the stem so that the plant, subsequently, will have the strength to form new lateral shoots and produce new leaves to use. Therefore, never detach the leaves from the stem to always have beautiful and healthy plants.

In the kitchen there are numerous recipes, it is consumed individually chopped to prepare the ” pesto alla genovese”, or together with other ingredients such as mixed salad in salads. As well as fresh basil, it can also be preserved in oil or frozen.

Beneficial properties : anti-inflammatory, bechiche (calming cough), digestive and stimulate the adrenal glands capable of reducing stress.
