Echinocereus rigidissimus, commonly known as the Arizona Rainbow Cactus or Rainbow Hedgehog Cactus, is a solitary-growing species. It is highly prized for its unique “rainbow” banding, a result of new spines emerging in shades of bright pink or red and fading to white or yellow as they mature.
