Watering: Water weekly during spring and summer (only after the soil has completely dried out). Keep totally dry from mid-September until mid-April to avoid rot.

Soil: Use a gritty, well-draining cactus and succulent mix (high in pumice, perlite, or sand).

Repotting: Requires pots with drainage holes; often kept in containers to manage soil moisture.

Fertilizer: Lightly fertilize with a diluted tomato feed during the spring/summer growing season, avoiding autumn/winter.
