Description
Potting and Soil
– Choose a pot with drainage, a few inches larger than the root ball.
– Use a loamy, well-draining soil mix with a pH of 6-7.
– Repot every few years or when soil gets compacted.
Light & Environment
– Prefers bright, indirect light.
– Can tolerate lower light but grows slower and uses water less efficiently.
– Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
– Keep away from drafts and vents.
Water
– Drought-resistant; water when the top half of the soil is dry.
– Use distilled or non-fluoridated water to avoid brown, crispy leaf tips.
– Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom.
Fertilizer
– Fertilize during spring and summer with indoor plant food.
