💧 Watering

Allow the top 2–4cm of soil to dry before watering. Avoid waterlogging and reduce watering in winter.

☀️ Light

Prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates medium light. Keep away from Malta’s strong direct summer sun.

🍃 Foliage / Growth

Produces long, arching leaves in dense clusters on upright stems. Bright indirect light helps maintain its vibrant colouring.

🪴 Potting Mix

Use a well-draining houseplant mix with added perlite. A pot with drainage holes is essential.

🌿 Fertilizer

Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter.

🐕🐈 Pet Safety

Toxic to cats and dogs. Ingestion may cause vomiting, drooling, weakness, and digestive upset.

🌬️ Air Purifying

Dracaena is often promoted as air-purifying, but its effect in normal homes is limited. It is best valued for its colourful foliage and easy-care nature.
