💧 Watering
Water moderately, allowing the top 3cm of soil to dry out completely between sessions to avoid soggy roots. During the peak of the Maltese summer, you may need to water more frequently, but always ensure the pot has excellent drainage.

☀️ Light
This plant thrives in full sun and needs direct light to fully open its brilliant flowers. It handles the intense Maltese heat remarkably well, though a tiny bit of afternoon shade in August can help prolong the blooming period.

🍃 Foliage / Growth
It features semi-succulent, green to grey-green leaves and a bushy, mounding growth habit. Regular “deadheading” (removing spent flowers) is key to encouraging a continuous carpet of blooms throughout the season.

🪴 Potting Mix
Use a well-draining, sandy or gritty potting soil; a standard Mediterranean mix works perfectly. It is highly tolerant of the alkaline soils found locally but dislikes heavy, compacted clay that retains too much winter moisture.

🌿 Fertilizer
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks during the flowering season from spring through autumn. Avoid high-nitrogen feeds, which can lead to lots of green leaves but very few of the iconic daisy flowers.

Dimorphoteca is generally considered non-toxic to dogs and cats, making it a safe and colorful choice for pet-friendly patios. However, always discourage pets from munching on garden plants to avoid minor stomach upset.
