Water once a week during hot months until established.
Once mature, highly drought-tolerant. Water only during prolonged dry spells.
Allow the top 5 cm of soil to dry between waterings; avoid soggy roots.

Thrives in full sun but tolerates partial shade.
In Malta, full sun enhances the deep purple leaf color.
Excellent for coastal and exposed sites.

🍃 Foliage / 🌸 Flowering
Long, arching burgundy to deep purple leaves forming a fountain-like rosette.
Mature plants may produce small, fragrant white flowers on tall panicles in summer.
Primarily grown for bold, year-round foliage color and architectural form.

🪴 Potting Mix
Well-draining loam-based soil with added sand or perlite.
Tolerates poor or slightly sandy soil, ideal for Mediterranean gardens.

🌿 Fertilizer
Feed lightly every 6–8 weeks in spring–summer with a balanced fertilizer.
Minimal feeding in autumn–winter.
