Its graceful stems and glossy green foliage make it a perfect choice for adding height and structure to decorative pots or garden beds.

Key Features for Malta:

Vivid Magenta Blooms: Produces stunning, deep pink flowers that symbolize appreciation and admiration—making them a perfect gift plant.

Superior Height: Reaching up to 60cm, this variety is taller than many other Callas, making it an excellent choice for middle-row planting or large floor-standing containers.

Sun-Loving Beauty: Highly resilient in the Maltese sun, this plant thrives in warm conditions and provides a long-lasting floral display.

Elite Floral Choice: A staple for summer bouquets and wedding arrangements due to its elegant form and vibrant, lasting color.

Lush Foliage: Even when not in bloom, the heart-shaped, glanzing leaves provide a beautiful tropical green backdrop for your patio.

Expert Tips for Growing Dark Pink Callas in Malta:

Ideal Exposure: These Callas thrive in full sun to partial shade. To prevent the vibrant pink from fading in the peak August heat, a spot with some light afternoon shade is recommended.

Planting Guidance: Plant the tubers approximately 10cm deep. For a full, professional-looking display, plant all 3 tubers in a single large pot (minimum 30cm diameter).

Watering Needs: Maintain consistently moist soil throughout the growing season. In Malta’s dry summer, daily watering may be necessary for plants kept in terracotta pots.

Nutrient Boost: Use a balanced flower fertilizer every 2 weeks once the first leaves appear to encourage larger and more numerous blooms.

Safety First: As with all Zantedeschia, these plants are toxic if eaten. Position them away from curious pets and young children.

Color: Saturated Dark Pink / Magenta.

Bloom Time: June – October.

Height: 40 – 59 cm (Taller variety).

Planting Time: March – May.

Other Names: Dark Pink Calla Lily, Rose Zantedeschia, Pink Arum Lily, Magenta Calla Bulbs
