In winter, water once weekly or when the top soil begins to dry.
Avoid letting the root ball dry out completely, spruce is sensitive to drought.

☀️ Sunlight
Prefers full sun to bright light.
In Malta, protect from harsh midday summer sun to avoid needle burn.
If kept indoors temporarily (e.g., holiday decoration), return outdoors after 1–2 weeks.

🍃 Foliage / Growth
Evergreen with fine, dense, blue-green needles.
Slow-growing; typically reaches 1–2 m in pots.
Maintains a tidy conical shape with minimal pruning.

🪴 Potting Mix
Use well-draining acidic mix: potting soil + pine bark + perlite.
Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

🌿 Fertilizer
Feed every 6–8 weeks in spring and early summer with a conifer or acid-loving plant fertilizer.
Do not fertilize in late autumn or winter.
