Description
Marloo F1 is a productive, medium-late cabbage variety that produces large, round, compact heads with attractive light green leaves. Each cabbage can reach approximately 2–3.5 kg under suitable growing conditions, making it an excellent choice for home vegetable gardens.
With a mild, slightly sweet flavour and crisp texture, this cabbage is perfect for fresh salads, coleslaw, soups, stir-fries and traditional cooked dishes. It is particularly suitable for autumn and winter growing in Malta.
🌱 Growing Instructions
☀️ Sunlight: Prefers full sun, with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
💧 Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Increase watering during warm, dry weather.
🌱 Soil: Plant in fertile, well-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter.
🌡️ Temperature: Grows best in cooler temperatures between 15°C–20°C. Protect young seedlings from excessive heat.
📏 Spacing: Allow approximately 50–60 cm between plants to give the cabbage heads enough room to develop.
🌾 Fertilizer: Apply a balanced vegetable fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during active growth, following the product instructions.
✂️ Harvesting: Ready to harvest approximately 80–95 days after transplanting. Cut the cabbage when the head feels firm and compact.
