Description

Tradescantia ‘Nanouk’ is a colourful trailing houseplant admired for its beautiful pink, purple, green and cream-striped leaves. Its compact, cascading growth makes it perfect for hanging baskets, shelves and decorative pots.

💧 Watering

Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging and prolonged wetness around the stems.

☀️ Light

Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its vibrant colours. In Malta, gentle morning sun is beneficial, but avoid intense afternoon summer sun.

🍃 Foliage / Growth

Produces thick, colourful leaves on trailing stems. Pinch back growing tips to encourage bushier growth and prevent legginess.

🪴 Potting Mix

Use a light, well-draining houseplant mix with added perlite. Ensure the pot has drainage holes.

🌿 Fertilizer

Feed every 4 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer.
