Characteristics

Geoneem is a multifunctional plant-based fertilizer obtained by cold-pressing the oil-rich seeds of the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica). It is incorporated into the soil during cultivation or repotting in spring.

For already established plants, simply place the product into small holes made in the potting soil.

Application Rates and Directions for Use
Fruit and ornamental trees: 100–200 g per tree (approximately 400 g per 10 m²), applied in spring over the ground area beneath the tree canopy.
Vegetable and flowering plants: 20–30 g per plant, or approximately 200–300 g per 10 m² of soil. Apply once a month starting in spring.
Potted plants: 10 g per pot with a circumference of 10–12
Potting mix preparation: 6–10 kg per m³ of growing medium.

Geoneem may help reduce certain soil pests, but it is not registered or marketed as an insecticide. Its primary purpose is as an organic nitrogen fertilizer.

The key ingredient is neem seed cake (the solid residue left after extracting neem oil from the seeds of Azadirachta indica). Neem cake is known to have several secondary benefits:

It can discourage soil-dwelling pests such as:

fungus gnat larvae
root-feeding grubs
some nematodes (especially plant-parasitic nematodes)
certain root-feeding insects
It may also reduce egg laying and feeding by some insects because it contains residual neem compounds, including small amounts of azadirachtin and related limonoids.
