Delivery & Garden Centre Assistant

Sherries Estates is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and energetic individual to join our team as a Delivery & Garden Centre Assistant.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines delivery assistance, stock handling, shop support, and customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with our delivery driver and retail team to ensure products are prepared, delivered, displayed, and maintained to the highest standards.

Hours: Flexible Hours, 7:00AM to 6:00PM
Must be able to communicate in Maltese and/or English efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Delivery Support:
– Prepare and organize items for loading onto delivery vehicles.
– Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including lifting and moving heavy items.
– Accompany the driver on deliveries and assist with carrying and positioning products at customer locations.
– Support the driver with any delivery-related tasks as required.

Garden Centre & Store Support:
– Restock shelves and maintain attractive product displays.
– Assemble furniture and other products for display or customer collection.
– Assist with inventory checks and stock management.
– Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, warehouse, and outdoor areas.

Customer Service:
– Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
– Help customers locate products and answer basic questions.
– Support the sales team in providing an excellent shopping experience.

Requirements:

– Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items safely.
– Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
– Good teamwork and communication skills.
– Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
– Comfortable interacting with customers and providing assistance when needed.
– Previous experience in retail, deliveries, warehousing, or a similar hands-on role is an advantage, but not essential.
