Description

Light: Requires full sun to bright, indirect light. At least 3–6 hours of direct sunlight daily is needed for flowering. In extremely hot climates, provide afternoon shade to prevent leaf scorch.

Watering: Use a “soak and dry” method. Water only when the soil is completely dry. Reduce watering significantly during the winter dormant period to prevent root rot.

Soil: Needs extremely well-draining soil, such as a specialist cactus or succulent mix. Adding grit, perlite, or sand is recommended to ensure aeration.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C–29°C). While it can tolerate brief, light frosts, it is not cold-hardy and should be moved indoors if temperatures drop below freezing.

Fertilizer: Feed sparingly with a diluted liquid cactus fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
