Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In Malta’s warm climate, overwatering is the main risk, as the swollen trunk stores water.

Prefers bright light and tolerates direct sun, especially morning sun. Adapts well to strong Maltese light conditions.

🍃 Foliage / Growth
Features long, narrow, arching leaves emerging from a thickened base. Slow-growing and long-lived.

🪴 Potting Mix
Use a fast-draining mix such as cactus or succulent soil with added grit. Excellent drainage is essential for healthy roots.

🌿 Fertilizer
Feed lightly every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer. Minimal feeding is required.
