Description

Organic decorative Dahlia ‘Seattle’ The Dahlia ‘Seattle’ grows to 80 centimetres high and has yellow flowers with white tips at first, which later change to orange flowers with white tips. The gigantic flowers make her a real eye-catcher! A dahlia blooms up to 100 days a year, so that your garden will be filled with a sea of flowers for a long time. Plant the tubers indoors from March before, or directly outside after the frost.

To promote long-lasting, lush flowering, it is advisable to regularly remove faded flowers. Organic dahlias often start flowering from mid-June and continue until the first frost in October. During the growing season, dahlias develop rhizomes in the ground, which should be removed before the first frost and stored in a dry, frost-free and dark place. If necessary, store the tubers in cardboard boxes with some sand. The following year, the tubers can be planted outside again from mid-May, when there is no longer any risk of frost, preferably in a very sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. These perennials are not winter-hardy and reach a height of around 100 cm. It is important to note that this is an organic method of maintaining and growing dahlias.
