Description

To promote long-lasting, lush flowering, it is advisable to regularly remove faded flowers. Dahlias often start flowering from mid-June and continue until the first frost in October. During the growing season, dahlias develop rhizomes in the ground, which should be removed before the first frost and stored in a dry, frost-free and dark place. If necessary, store the tubers in cardboard boxes with some sand. The following year, the tubers can be planted outside again from mid-May, when there is no longer any risk of frost, preferably in a very sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. These perennials are not winter-hardy and reach a height of around 30 cm.
