💧 Watering
This palm is thirstier than the Phoenix variety; it requires consistent moisture and should never be allowed to dry out completely. During the peak Maltese summer, daily watering may be necessary if kept in a pot to prevent the fronds from crisping.

It thrives in bright, indirect light or partial shade, especially when young, as the intense Maltese midday sun can scorch its leaves. Mature specimens can adapt to more sun, provided they are shielded from the harsh, drying Gregale winds.
