Comparison: It can be up to 553 times hotter than a jalapeño.
Appearance: Elongated, wrinkly body, sometimes with a scorpion-like tail.
Flavor: Sweet, fruity, and tangy with a slower burn that allows the flavor to be appreciated before the intense heat kicks in.
Uses: Ideal for extreme hot sauces and rubs due to its intense heat and flavorful profile.
Interesting Fact: The Naga Viper was once recognized as the world’s hottest pepper by the Guinness World Records in 2011. The record is now held by Pepper X.
