Origin: Native to Brazil.

Comparison: It is much milder than a jalapeño
Appearance: Small, tear-drop shaped pods, about 2 cm long. They ripen from green to bright red.
Flavor: Tangy, citrusy, with a sweet, fruity, and slightly smoky flavor.
Uses: Commonly used in salsas, sauces, and as a garnish. Adds vibrant color and mild heat to various dishes. Often pickled and used in salads, pizzas, and pasta.
Interesting Fact: Rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, and dietary fiber. The name “Chupetinho” translates to “little nipple” in Portuguese, referencing the pepper’s small and rounded shape.
