Indications and Recommendations

This product can be supplied exclusively or in addition to various species of parrots of medium or large size.
It can be used for the genera Ara , Psittacus and Poicephalus and is especially recommended in stages in which parrots require greater nutritional contributions (young parrots up to one year of age, parrots with nutritional deficiencies…). It is recommended to use it in a restricted way in those species that tend to gain weight of the genera Amazona , Cacatua , Psittacula , Eclectus , etc.
It is a feed of maximum appetite and nutritional richness. In addition, it has been formulated paying special attention to its fatty acid profile and the contributions of Omega 6 and Omega 3.
It is formulated to constitute 100% of the parrot’s diet. However, it is interesting to provide fresh fruits and vegetables daily to give variety to the diet. In this case, it is recommended that the Omega feed does not fall below 70% of its total (except in the case of Eclectus, which require a lot of sweet fruit).
The daily consumption ranges between 5 and 10% of the weight of the animal. Environmental circumstances, especially temperature, have a very significant influence on consumption. Medium-sized species (such as the gray parrot) consume around 25-45g per day.
